2010 Buick LaCrosse Review
GM, a giant car maker has unleashed 2010 Buick LaCrosse series . It comes in three models namely CX, CXL and CXS. The LaCrosse is sleekly and luxurious car. Its designed has been revolutionalised and redefined. It comes with luxurious interior and stupendous handling. It is also a one of the ten safest cars. It is very well architected and well executed vehicle.
Design
The exterior design of the car is superb and refreshing. It has nicely sculpted angular curves which give sportive look for the car. Front grill design, front headlamps, 18 inch chrome-plated wheels and high rear end will add to its beauty. Chrome-tip dual exhaust and halogen fog lamps are hatched to the rear bumper. The 2010 LaCrosse is 59.2inches tall, 73.1 inch wide, 197inch length.
Interior:
The LaCrosse comes with most deluxe interiors on board, taking its design and build quality into consideration. The interiors door panel and Dashboard has been nicely designed; the dash board is very intuitive, informative and easy to handle. The Dashboard merges with the central console, which holds the FM/AM/XM/CD stereo, or the optional navigation system, power-lock keys and climate control knobs.
The front seats are made up of flexible leather and plush It provides eight way power customization for the driver. The features vary with Basic, CXL and CXS models of 2010 LaCrosse. The interior includes USB, cruise-control, single-zone climate control, 5.1 Matrix sound system, and 11-Harman/Kardon speakers. Ironically, you need to spend extra on Sunroof, Xenon headlights and 18” chrome wheels.
The base model CX comes with cruise control, single climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and standard feature ‘OnStar’. LaCrosse CXL includes all the features of base model and in addition, it includes Automatic Dual-Zone Air Conditioning, Auto-Dimming inside Rearview Mirror, Remote Start, Heated Leather Appointed seats, Power driver Lumbar support, and Bluetooth connectivity. The LaCrosse CXS model provides all the features of CXL model and in addition, it provides Stereo-USB Connectivity, Ventilated and Heated Perforated Leather-Appointed Seats, enhanced music system and 110 V Power Outlet.
Performance:
The 2010 LaCrosse comes with power brakes. Traction control and brake assist included in StabiliTrak stability control system and standard MacPherson strut suspension. The basic model of the LaCrosse has engine V6 of 3.0L capacity, which exerts 255 horse power and a maximum torque of 217 pound-feet. LaCrosse will also comes with an additional Direct Injection engine having 4-cylinder with 2.4L DOHC coupled to a transmission system of 6-speed 6T40 Hydra-Matic. By the combination of this system, it exerts 182 horse power and 172 pound-feet torque. The whole engine system is sustained by four rear link suspension and front MacPherson strut suspension.
In CXL model, the more powerful engine V6 3.0L VVT Direct Injection engine is coupled with same transmission system as base model. This exerts 45 extra horsepower than base model CX.
In CXS model, engines capacity is increased from 3.0L to 3.6L. The transmission remains same. It exerts 280 horse power and a peak torque of 259pound-feet. You can reach 0 to 60 mph in just 7 seconds.
Final Word
The 2010 LaCrosse is coming with nice exterior and interior design. It is good looking, pretty and refreshingly sporty. The 2010 Buick LaCrosse will surely give competition to Toyota Avalon, Acura TL, Lincoln MKZ and Lexus ES350. It will continuously lead this segment. With lot of accessories and easy customization will take this car to new level. The CX, CXL and CXS are priced at $27,835, $30,395 and $33,765 respectively. Its price is relatively cheaper when compared to its rivals. The LaCrosse blends luxury, comfort, amenities and ride on board.
