Android 2.0 Steps Closer to the iPhone- A Review

The smartphone war between the Android and Apple iPhone has increased with the introduction of a mobile operating system supported by Google. With the assistance of Google, Motorola has released Android 2.0 version which works on the Droid. Android is said to be an advanced version of the mobile operating system which is an open source. There are speculations that the Android 2.0 may proceed well beyond the iPhone within 2012. The Android supports various resolutions and sizes for the screen.

It provides a classic support for gaming, which is the main reason to be a stiff competitor for the iPhone. Android also provides some applications which are user friendly and simple. Google offers a navigation service that is interesting by the feature ‘by turn GPS directions’ which can be accessed free of cost. This option is not available in other devices and hence, the Android stands out with this feature. The capability of navigation is superb and this attracts people easily.

A multi-touch support is present in the APIs which is a boost to the device. Soon, the Android applications will provide the magic of multi-touch. The fantastic multi-touch UI, the huge publicity, and the applications from the Application store transform the iPhone into a Jesus phone. The Android 2.0 version is surely a quick venture to come closer to the iPhone and beat its advantages.
