Google Reveals Source Code of ‘Chrome OS’
Finally, Google has released the Chrome’s source code required for the project of Chrome’s operating system, which is light in weight. Google is giving a demo of the Chrome operating system to operate in netbooks as an innovative OS. The professionals of the coding technique can use the ‘Chromium Project Blog’ to access it. The Vice President of Google’s product management department, Sundar Pichai, stated that Google is bound to release the Chrome OS in a year. He also told that the source code is fully open and available.
The netbook packages are developing and people are accessing the browser for other features than using desktop applications. Smartphones and laptops have converged into latest variety of devices like e-readers and tablets. Each Chrome Operating system application is going to emerge as a Web application, told Pichai. This will enhance speed and security exclusively, because users need not install applications to their computers, he told. Google is currently running the presentation on the Chrome’s laptop.
He also warns the people saying that there are chances of the original UI changing once in a while. People who have accessed the Chrome will know how the UI of the Chrome operating system looks like. The engineering director for Chrome operating system, Matt Papakipos, explained in detail about the working of Google on the Chrome operating system. He also told that, the actual idea of Google is to manufacture laptops that are based on Chrome whose appearance resembles a television. That is, press the switch and it turns On.
The Google team has decided to eliminate the optimization of the kernel and the boot loader, so as to ensure that the services which will generally load with an operating system during start-up will not load unless absolutely necessary. A corrected boot process is being used by them, which will utilize multiple signature keys to check whether the Web applications are valid or not. He also explained the effect of malware being downloaded by the Chrome operating system.
That is, firstly, it detects the pirated software, and then it reboots the system to normal, which is so simple and easy, when compared to doing a similar thing on Mac, which is Web oriented and the backup data is present in the cloud or a regular PC. Pichai continues saying about the shelves being occupied by the netbooks of Chrome operating system in the near future. Google is going to precisely mention the components for the netbook partners of Chrome operating system.
You cannot download the Chrome OS in your old netbook. You have to purchase the optimized netbook of Chrome operating system. That is, Google fails to support hard drives. The netbooks of Chrome operating system will be using solid state drives. He did not mention the price as yet, but told the people that the netbooks might be released by the holiday season of next year. Google pointed out that the manufacturers of these netbooks might have to make them, bigger in size with large keyboards and touch pads.
Pichai told that Google will not set a precise price for the netbook but it will most probably be in the price range of the netbooks available at present. He also plans to make these netbooks useful during offline circumstances, using the Google Gear technology. But, he told that it is an OS designed primarily for online purpose. These netbooks are capable of running in both ARM and x86 chips, he told.

Google has finally revealed the code of its Chrome operating system to the public. Chrome OS is an open source operating system, much like the Linux operating system. This essentially means that users do not have to purchase it, and there is no advertising built into it. More importantly, as it is open source, it is much easier for computer programmers to develop their own enhancements to the software.
