How to Perfect Your Skin?

There are possibilities of having a lovely, clear skin at all ages. According to a new article, ‘The Surprising Secret to Perfect Skin’ of the Cosmopolitan Magazine, many doctors have disclosed the factors that are essential for the good color of the skin and its culture along with the right skin care. All of us know that we are beautiful in our own sense, but various tones of skin that are present require care in their own different ways. Fair skin may display some kind of redness, while dark skin may reveal blotches which are clearly visible.

Some unique tips have to be followed to maintain the glow and the beauty of your skin, which does not depend on the shade of your complexion.

For that you need a Moisturizer having its SPF value as 30 which acts as a sunscreen also, facial cleanser having Salicylic acid (for dark and medium complexions), Alpha-hydroxy cleanser (for fair complexion), Exfoliant, Shower gel (for dark complexion), moisturizer which retards the growth of hairs (for medium complexion), Shaving gel or cream, Rich body moisturizer (for dark complexion), Sharp razor, Shaving bump gel and  Fade cream for hyper-pigmentation spots (for medium and dark complexion).

Instructions:

1. Focus on balancing, wrinkle prevention and sun protection if you have fair skin. If you visualize any sensitivity, then start using a mild cleanser in place of a brush. Apply the same procedure with a moisturizer having an SPF value of 30 which acts as a sunscreen of full spectrum. If you do not find it in shops, then buy a facial sunscreen from the local beauty shop.

During the night, generally prefer a cream which consists of retinol or alpha-hydroxy acids which favors in increasing the number of cells. Be watchful about growths and moles. If they appear strange to you, consult a doctor. Peel your skin twice or thrice a week to reduce the signs of aging and dullness of your skin.

2. People having medium skin tone should concentrate on reducing the oily buildup and pores. There are chances of hyper-pigmentation if you do waxing or from pimples or through the dense growth of facial hair. Salicylic acid facewashes work wonders to your skin by keeping it fresh. Avoid lotions and astringents which give a chilling effect, especially in areas where you have recently removed your hair.

The Mayo clinic writes- “Start applying a lotion which does not contain isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. Even though alcohol and its products act as coolants, they cannot soften the skin which is irritated since the alcohol will evaporate quickly from your skin. To diminish the spots like bug bites and old pimples, you have to start using a fade cream or gel.

Cosmo also states that fading creams containing Hydroquinone decrease the new melanin production and helps in removing the spots that exist. The latest fading formulas utilize botanicals asserted in helping to diffuse the pigment clusters that are present now, into dull particles. Many lotions are available which claim that they can reduce the growth of hair in the body and face, but they can cause coloring unevenly. To reduce the hair on the face, prefer threading over waxing since very few chances of hyper pigmentation are present.

3. People who have a dark skin tone should completely concentrate on keeping their skin tone balanced. A small blemish can cause a spot of hyper pigmentation. Cosmo advises such people to take precautionary steps against acne. Wash your face with a cleanser containing salicylic acid to avoid breakouts, and then use a moisturizer which is an anti blemish cream and makes your skin free of oil. Sunscreen has to be used by people with this skin tone also.

Start using a rich moisturizer for your body which will not wear off in the day to prevent the ashiness which is dreadful. Cocoa butter and Shea butter are wonderful beauty products. Shower gel is good to be applied on the body rather than soap since it does not dry up. Ingrown hairs cause a big problem while shaving. So, start using a thick shaving cream, hair conditioner or a fresh razor and then use a razor bump cream or gel.

Important tips:

a) Sleep well. Since sleep manages the regenerative processes of the body, new cell growth of the skin relies on you keeping your eyes shut. Sleep for a minimum of seven hours everyday for complete body rest.

b) Smoking has to be stopped if you have to look really good. Smoking will create lines on your face, spoils the color of your skin and thereby burns your skin gradually. It is a very bad habit for the body and hence, avoid smoking for the sake of your skin.

c) People having a dark skin tone should be cautious about the changes in the spots of their skin or their moles. Cosmo says that there are a few classic patterns which indicate the growth of cancer: bumps and moles that change the color and shape or that hurts or bleeds or which is showing no signs of healing. Also, you need to be attentive about your soles, palms and the skin beneath your nails and certain areas where there is high probability of melanoma among the Afican-Americans.
