HP Pavilion Slimline S5160f Review
The HP Pavilion Slimline has an Intel core processor with 750GB storage capacity and a memory of 6GB. The desktop is glossy black in color and is compact. The desktop’s optical drive consisting of a Blu-ray drive is vertically oriented. The system has a single hard drive bay at the back portion of a fan which faces to the side at the front portion of the case. This indicates that you cannot upgrade easily in the future.
You have 4 USB ports at the back of the desktop which offers the options of primary connection to the system. The key features of the desktop are a HDMI port (on the nVidia GeForce graphics board), an integrated 7.1 surround sound and S/PDIF coaxial output. But the desktop provides 10/100 Ethernet in place of gigabit Ethernet for connections involving wired networks. Extra ports for eSATA or FireWire 400 to connect external devices are not available.
At the front face, you have multi-format card reader and 2 USB ports. A generic mouse having two-button is present. The layout of the keyboard is standard with three additional buttons to change the volume of the system while traveling. HP incorporates a remote control to the desktop which is unnecessary since the device has a TV Tuner which is integrated to it. HP desktop is nice to watch TV and movies on your system.
The other features of the system include a HDMI output, Blu-Ray player and a TV tuner which acts like a media center PC than like an actual desktop. The desktop’s abilities are restricted since it has no mediocre networking support and external connections.
