HTC Trophy Preview
HTC, a Taiwanese mobile maker has unveiled its new stunning smartphone named HTC Trophy. It is expected to hit the market in May 2010. HTC Trophy is comes with powerful Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. It appeals to be that the HTC Trophy has been designed with keeping the business user in mind. The HTC Trophy comes up with candy-bar style QWERTY keyboard, 3-inch large display and also importantly it doesn’t compromise with any feature. The Full specifications of the phone are not available, though we could able to find the some. It will be too early to draw conclusion on the phone. We have to wait till May to know more about its functionality.
Design
The HTC Trophy is pretty, good looking and nicely designed device. It measures 119 x 58.3 x 11 mm. Interestingly it is incredibly slim and have thickness of just 11mm. You can get the feeling of holding razor thin, glass screen; metal/rubbery backing in your hand. The HTC Trophy comes with Candy BAR type Keyboard. Since it has new full Querty keyboard, it provides very easy and quick typing. It will give great pleasure to type. The keys are wider enough and nicely arranged with wider spacing. It is provided with a Track Ball, which enables comfortable Navigation.
The HTC Trophy has huge 3-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with good resolution of 480 x 640 pixels. The screen looks great and bright enough. It has only Portrait viewing mode only. We are not sure about its sun screen legibility.
Specifications
The HTC Trophy is powered by Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor. It has impressive Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. It comes with an internal memory of 256 MB RAM / 512 MB ROM. You can extend External memory up to 32GB. The external memory is TransFlash microSD. It supports usual messaging features like SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and IM. It has 3.5mm audio jack as well.
Camera: The Trophy has a hopping 5-megapixel camera with Autofocus and provides resolution of 2560х1920pixels. . It features advanced camera features like Autofocus, Geo-tagging, face-smile and blink detection, image stabilization, manual focus. You can shoot the video at the rate of 30 frames per second.
Multimedia: It comes with a decent multimedia player Windows Media Player 10, which supports almost all audio formats like MP3,WAV,eAAC+ and as well as MP4,DivX,XviD,H.263,AVI,3GP video formats. It offers FM radio with RDS feature. It also features others applications like Document and PDF viewer, organizer, Alarm, Calendar, To-Do / Tasks, Calculator, Straight Talk Lite, Superseach, Business card scanner, World Clock, Notes, Business Card Reader, multitasking with good task manager. It is nicely integrated with Face book, Orkut, Twitter and dedicated path to Youtube also available..
Connectivity
It has lot of connective features like Wi-Fi (802.11b/802.11g), Quad band GSM/GPRS, 3G(HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), EDGE (Class 10, 236.8 kbps), Bluetooth with A2D feature, USB. No infrared port. It has good GPS support with A-GPS support and preloaded with Google Map software; MAP navigation will not be any problem. It comes with decent web browser ‘Internet Explorer’, which supports WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML. It is preloaded with 2 Java games and you can download more java games if u wants to.
Battery: The HTC Trophy has Lithium-Ion (1400 mAh) powered battery. No details available regarding battery life.
Conclusion
The HTC Trophy is coming lot of features in its kitty. We certainly have to wait till may to know more about it. Price is not revealed by the HTC. It also has fascinating features like Document and PDF viewer, organizer, Alarm, Calendar, To-Do / Tasks, Calculator, Straight Talk Lite, Superseach, Business card scanner, World Clock, Notes, Business Card Reader, large display, innovative keyboard, touch screen, 5 Megapixel camera and more.
