The LG phone has a touch sensitive screen of 3 inches along with WQVGA resolution which uses resistive technology. The handset can be named as the ‘smallest’ phone available at a display of 3”. This compact size of the mobile phone permits you to place it in your pocket very easily. It has attractive looks and the body is made from gleamy, lapped aluminum which will definitely appeal to most of you.

To the front, you have a button which changes its color depending on the function you perform with the phone. It glows ‘green’ when you are opening the call register and ‘red’ when you close a menu. The phone is provided with a microUSB port to connect it to a PC or for charging. You have the option of installing a solar panel on the cell phone. Here, the panels have to be bought separately as an extra accessory.

The LG Company also assures you that the box is made of recycled materials and a charger which is highly energy efficient. If you remove the panel at the back, you may notice the connectors which are situated close to the microSD slot, which are actually made for the solar panel. The Phone has an interface which permits you to personalize specific features. For example, a theme is created primarily for kids which can be modified.

The home screen has three pages:

1.  Livesquare- It is similar to a register for keeping a track of the recent messages and calls with a fascinating functionality.

2.  Your precious contacts with their snaps

3.  Widgets- Many of them are standard and you have one which provides access to all apps that are solely dedicated to the social networks quickly.

The mobile phone incorporates programs for social networking which are based on JAVA. The three most famous applications are available namely MySpace, Twitter and Facebook. Programs like ‘Running Mate’ and the ‘Weight Tracker’ are very useful. The mobile has a QWERTY keyboard which is horizontal and has small but spacious keys. The phone fails to support Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity’s. To surf simple pages, you can use the ‘Internet browser.’

The camera of the cell phone has a resolution of 3 Mega pixels with no Flash or Autofocus. The options present permits you to change the white balance, turn the night mode and select from the various effects. Video shooting is restricted and the max resolution available is QVGA. The audio player is great featuring easy controls, huge album art and equalizer. The phone does not have a 3.5mm jack for the headphones. Hence, you need to either purchase Bluetooth earphones or a pair of boxed headset.

The LG Pop is gaining popularity as an affordable phone. The design and its appearance are stunning. The phone is compact and has a friendly interface.
