Dental bridge is a piece of equipment which dentists use to put back the missing teeth. This is a permanent fitting and only dentists can remove these bridges.

Dental bridge: The traditional dental bridge will be geared up by the dentist by capping the teeth with the crowns on both the sides of the absent tooth. An artificial tooth is joined to the crown which will fill the space in the mouth.

Considerations: The dental bridge should be strong and well placed without causing any pain in the gums. If the dental bridge causes pain in the gums then there may be periodontal disease in the patient than problem with the bridge itself.

Dental bridge pain: In the dental bridge, food may lodge which will further cause infections in the gum. These infections will be very painful too. Not even by infections, pain may be due to the crowns also. Crown when placed very high will cause pain when something is bitten down. Crown will be sensitive to both cold and heat stuffs causing discomfort while eating and drinking.

Deterrence: This dental bridge pain can be prevented by flossing, brushing and regular cleaning of it. This lessens the risk of getting infection and also gum diseases.

Treatment: Dentists will treat this dental bridge pain which might be due to crown misplacement. This can be reseated in the tooth. Sensitive teeth can also be treated with toothpaste which is desensitizing. Periodontal disease and infection will be cured with the help of antibiotics.
