Sony Ericsson Jalou Review
Sony Ericsson is a classic phone which was released very recently. It is quite fashionable and has a special design which is stylish and resembles a jewel, primarily targeting the women. The design has a reflective coat and a diamond-cut pattern. The exterior of the panel has a secondary monochrome screen of external display of 1.3” and a resolution of 128 x 36 pixels. It notifies you of the received messages, incoming calls and the song currently being played.
The phone has a camera of 3.2 Mega pixels and is situated beneath the display. On opening the fold, you can view the main screen of 2” located at the top portion of the phone. The phone is a bit small but is capable of displaying clear and colorful images. The hexagonal control pad which is segmented sharply is the key attraction here. The numeric keypad located beneath the navigation looks very tiny and cannot be accessed by some people.
The phone is compact, small and measures 73 x 45 x 18.2 mm in size. It looks smaller than a credit card when kept closed and hence can be kept in your purse or jeans quite easily. A special feature called the ‘Walk Mate’ is present which converts the display of 2” onto a mirror by a press. Another feature is the ‘step counter’ which can tell the exact distance you have walked, similar to the car’s distance meter.
The phone supports HSDPA and 3G connectivity. Hence, you can email, watch YouTube, make video calls, play Java games, browse the Web etc. The phone has a camera of 3.2 mega pixels used for video and image capturing on-board. It does not feature flash but the image quality is great to take normal snaps and record video clips which are short. You have the option of selecting the music player which plays your AAC and MP3 files or the inbuilt FM radio through which you can hear broadcast music.
The quality of sound is superb. The phone provides only 100MB of memory for storing your photos, music files and movies. You can use a microSD card which permits you to utilize upto 4GB of memory space. Overall, the phone is exquisite and great with interesting features.
