Toshiba Mini NB205-N325BL Review
The Toshiba laptop has an Intel Atom CPU, Windows 7 Starter and a 1GB RAM. The design texture is outstanding with pink, blue and white colors. The mouse buttons and the large touch pad are the best features of this laptop. The textured lid is resistant to fingerprints and features multiple options for colors. The Chassis has a flat, boxy design having corners which are rounded and gives an over-all refined look.
The laptop features a raised keyboard having keys which are widely spaced. But, the tilde and the Tab keys are strangely placed to the spacebar’s left. The touch pad is wide about 3” and the oversized buttons of the mouse prove to be very useful, favoring quicker navigation of the screen.
The audio system is a drawback in this device. The speaker situated at the bottom of the laptop is practically useless since the volume is not clear and it cannot be distinguished from music, Web video or podcasts unless you put on your headphones. The display is wide at 10.1 inches and has a standard resolution of 1,024×600 pixels.
Toshiba features a new technology, ’sleep and charge’ which includes one among the three USB ports. It permits you to charge or power the USB devices from the specific port, even when the laptop is off or in ‘sleep’ mode or in ‘hibernate’ mode. The 802.11n, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are missing in this laptop. The system provides sufficient computing power to perform normal tasks like basic multimedia playback, Web surfing and working on office documents.
The laptop has a large 6-cell battery, whose lifetime is six hours and thirty two minutes. The device features a 1 year labor and parts warranty along with an industry standard. Support is provided via a 24*7 phone line which is toll free and driver downloads and an online knowledge base are available through the Company’s website.
