A wide range of color choices is also considered one of the features of Netbook. Toshiba Mini NB305-N410BN also satisfies with this feature.

Design & Specifications

It is distinctly designed with its rounded edges featuring Windows 7 Starter edition. It has a general Z size track pad and buttons. It has 3 USB ports, which is an added advantage. Its weight is just shy of 3 pounds making very comfortable to carry around. Apart from these basic features, it has some improved features. Toshiba Mini NB305-N410BN is a launch with the latest Atom processor from Intel. The Netbook runs on Windows 7 Starter, N450 processor and have a 1 GB RAM, 250GB hard-disk configuration.

The worth of Netbook can be decided from its specifications. Toshima Mini NB305-N410BN seems to be of an average however the cost also makes it affordable. It costs $300 for the above specifications. The rate seems to be almost the same to Toshiba’s previous Mini NB205 model but the upgrades done is really a step up and makes the buyer stop for it a minute. Toshiba Mini NB305-N410 has a much longer batter life than its previous model as the presence of Atom processor.

The battery positions seemed to be bulged in Toshiba Mini NB205 but in this case the battery is well buried into the chassis with only a slighter bulge, which is almost invisible and seems to be absolutely flat. Another important upgrade in the latest NB series is that the presence of stereo speakers for the same price.

Display and Color choices

Toshiba Mini NB305-N410 with the dimensions 10.5×7.6 inches has a pretty wide side measuring 10.1-inch. Toshiba is always known for its attractive design specially the NB series. The Netbook has a professional look and available in the following two colors. Blue and White.

The fact that Windows 7 Starter is not much preferred to Windows XP is one of the disadvantages. However Windows XP can be loaded additionally, one has to spend money for the original pack. The Netbook is powered on by the button present on the top centre above the keyboard. Plastic frame encloses the 10.1 inch screen. The 10.1 inch screen has resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels which is one of the upgrades from the previous version. It displays crisp and sharp colors offering more than better experience. The stereo speakers offer good sound compared to its previous model.

The Netbook offers a decent video chatting with the Web camera it comes along. The keyboard slightly raised above give a stylish look and perfectly seated in the limited space available like the Sony Vaio W. The only difference is that the key are much bigger. The large size of the keyboard makes the look wider than its height which may annoy some.

Special features

The LED indicator below the keyboard displays almost all status from WiFi to low battery. The other important feature upgrades include the VGA out, the sleep and charge USB port which is one of the favorite features of Toshiba. The memory can be upgraded up to 2GB. All other upgrade features are limited.

The Intel Atom 450 processor offers very good performance than the previous N270/280 processors. Basic processes like Web browsing, office work and e-mail are perfectly executed in the Netbook. But the Atom 450 processor will disappoint the heavier multitasking and online video viewing operations. As another option downloaded video playing is very well supported by the processor.
