Banana peel can be used in treating many skin problems which most of us are not aware of and why and how does it work is quite a mystery!! Being an average lay human being, we just think of dumping the banana peel to the compost of our garden. Banana is rich in Lutein, which is an antioxidant and also potassium which is the main reason as to why it works effectively on the skin by rubbing the inner portion of the peel.

The inner portion of the banana peel works effectively in healing warts, acne, psoriasis and poison ivy along with the corn starch.

Help treat Psoriasis:

Massage the inner portion of the banana peel to the affected skin area. At first it will become red but after few days, you will get to observe a change in your skin.

Heal acne:

Just massage the inner portion of the banana peel onto the acne area, irrespective of it is present on the body or face. With this application the acne must start healing within just few days of use. It is better that you apply it at night so that you don’t smell that of banana all through the day.

Alleviates bite from poison ivy:

Rub the inner portion of the banana peel onto the region of poison ivy. This should result in eradication of itching and reduction in the inflammation. Repeat the process whenever required. This becomes the chief reason for packing a bunch of banana’s while camping or trekking.

Heal warts:

Massage the inner portion of the banana peel on the lump/wart prior to bed continuously for about a week to notice the improvements. The planter’s warts have reacted well for this treatment so other warts might also respond well. If you are in hasten, tap the peel onto the acne area and let it stand overnight, you will get to notice drastic improvement just in a week or two.
